Inspiration For Young Writers
Send Us Your Strories!

Just because the Harris Burdick Story Writing Contest has ended does not mean the story writing should stop! These classic illustrations have long inspired young people to write their own stories — so try your own hand at completing the tale behind one of these mysterious drawings. We'll periodically select writers at random to receive autographed Chris Van Allsburg books and other Burdick-inspired items. Need some more information? Check out the Resources page for some suggestions on getting started.
