Other books to read

I found so much help in reading Beautiful Boy. Are there other books out there that address the needs of families of addicted children? I am going to attend my first Al-Anon meeting tonight. Don't know what to expect but I feel I need an outlet where people will understand my pain.

I just found a really great book - I have not finished it but so far it makes a lot of sense. "No More Letting Go" by Debra Jay. Anything by Melodie Beattie is good too. She has a lot of stuff on codependency.

Lilypad,

Thanks so much for your book suggestion. I'm in the middle of 'No More Letting Go' and I love her description of how the addicted brain works.

So far, this is one of the best books I've read on the subject!
