These struggles

I just had dinner with my son and as always, our conversation turns to addiction and recovery and what a brutal disease addiction is. I hear daily of people I have met who are back out using, and how heartbreaking that is for everyone who loves these addicts. I have been reading all your posts and I find myself unable to say anything to you all except that I am so sorry that any of us is going through ...or has gone through... this nightmare with our kids. I pray for sanity and recovery and peace for all of you. You are all very strong and brave people who remind me just how much is asked of a parent at times. Life is not fair I guess. ...Laura
