Ed Spade is interim President of HMH’s Books & Media division. Ed has spent his career in books and digital media managing areas across sales, operations, and business development. He was most recently HMH VP National Accounts & Sales and oversaw the sales team for trade retail, wholesale, field, and online sales. He came to HMH as Director of Digital Sales and Strategy in 2017 and spearheaded business development initiatives and new models to grow online sales. Prior to that he was the Senior Account Manager for Content Acquisition for the Ingram Content Group, managing the key accounts sales team for North America. Prior to his work at Ingram, Ed was the Director of Digital Publishing for Viacom, and held a variety of product management roles within the Penguin Young Reader’s Group for several years working closely with authors to bring their books to interactive multimedia and audio.
