Sculpture
These images represent a small sample of the sculpture that Chris has made between the years 1969 and 1977 while a student at the University of Michigan, the Rhode Island School of Design and in his studio in Providence, Rhode Island.
The piece at right, though not exactly sculpture in the usual sense of the word, is the kind of three dimensional thing Chris has been working on lately.
It is made from thousands of small pieces and held together by tiny nuts and bolts. The pieces, which are no longer made, came from a German Toy company whose construction system was similar to the Erector and Mecanno systems.
