Sy Montgomery's research for films, articles, and twenty-two books has led her to hike the Altai Mountains of Mongolia looking for snow leopards and track tree kangaroos in Papua New Guinea, among other adventures. Montgomery writes books for both adults and children, and has scripted two films for National Geographic television. A National Book Award finalist, she has also been honored with a Sibert Medal, two Science Book and Film prizes from the National Association for the Advancement of Science, three honorary degrees, and many other awards. Her latest work is a memoir, How to Be a Good Creature. She lives in Hancock, New Hampshire.
